More information about the four historic sites on the St. Louis Holiday Historic House Tour:
The Field House Museum — 634 South Broadway
Come discover the Field family through the newly expanded Field House Museum along with our traditional Christmas decor in the historic home that was once occupied by Roswell Field, attorney for Dred Scott, and the birthplace of Eugene Field, the Children’s Poet.
The Campbell House Museum — 1508 Locust Street
The home of entrepreneur Robert Campbell reflects the high-Victorian opulence of the 1880s. See the elaborate parlor Christmas tree and creche, as well as the dining room table set for the season.
The Chatillon-DeMenil House — 3352 DeMenil Place
Nicolas and Emilie DeMenil’s Greek Revival mansion is splendidly decorated for a “joyeux Noel,” reflecting both French Creole and American holiday traditions.
The Old Courthouse — 11 North Fourth Street
This Greek Revival building features restored courtrooms and a Dred Scott exhibit along with the Victorian era decorated rotunda filled with holiday music and dancing for this evening’s tour.
