Speaker Series: Artistry in Miniature
Join the Field House Museum for our latest virtual Speaker Series Program with Sharon Giesfeldt-van Ruiswyk on February 25, 2021 at 7:00 pm. A former professor of Art and Art History at the University of Wisconsin, Giesfeldt-van Ruiswyk will be sharing the creative process of making a miniature book.
A life-long lover of books, the act of creating miniature bindings draws together many of the artistic practices, from textiles to metallurgy, that Giesfeldt-van Ruiswyk has mastered over the years. Sharon is a natural educator and loves teaching people to see the possibilities of life. She believes that anyone can be an artist and anything can be used to create art.
