A great volunteer helps deepen our connection within our community while learning new skills and forging relationships within the public history and preservation fields. Internships
The Field House Museum is committed to supporting and shaping the future of museum leadership! We offer internships that provide professional learning experiences while helping individuals pursue a career in museums, archives, preservation, and public history. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in a variety of areas, including Public Programming, Visitor Experience, Collections, and Exhibits.

Fair Labor Standards Act Internship Requirements:
1) The Field House Museum, a registered 501(c)(3), declares that this internship is an unpaid internship in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
2) This internship will provide hands-on training similar to that which would be given in an educational environment in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
3) In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, any intern must receive academic credit for their internship at the Field House Museum to be considered for the internship position.
4) This internship is offered during summer break to accommodate a student’s academic commitments by corresponding to the academic calendar as outlined by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Employment Opportunities
The Field House Museum looks for passionate and creative individuals to join us in our mission of preserving and promoting the Field family, the National Historic Landmark historic home, and the St. Louis community. As a small organization, staff members play a vital role in preserving artifacts, creating dynamic exhibits, and creating a welcoming visitor experience. The Field House Museum employs both full-time and part-time staff.
