Illustrating the Words: The Artistry of the Picture Book Exhibit

A picture is worth a thousand words, but an
illustration brings imagination to life. Sparking
creativity and creating worlds of wonderment,
the picture book brings substance to fiction, all
while subtly teaching morals and life lessons to
its readers. Illustrating the Words: The Artistry of
the Picture Book showcases original illustrations
of both classic and contemporary children’s
books. Let your creativity come alive as you
wander through over 40 pieces of artwork
adorning the walls of the Field House Museum.

Book contains artwork generously on loan from
Mr. Ed Nickels and Mr. & Mrs. Donald Zork.

This exhibit is included in the general admission to the museum.
