You’re invited to join the Field House Museum for a Missouri Bicentennial Quilt Preview Party on Wednesday, August 25, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The Missouri Bicentennial Quilt was created to celebrate 200 years of statehood. Each of Missouri’s 114 counties, plus the city of Saint Louis, has a block on the quilt. Missouri Bicentennial Coordinator, Michael Sweeney, will be delivering the quilt to the Field House Museum on August 25 for its first day on display in Saint Louis. To celebrate, we are inviting our members and friends to this special viewing where Sweeney will give a short presentation on the quilt at 5:30 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available for the duration of the evening. Space is limited to maintain social distancing; please make your reservation in advance through Eventbrite or by calling the Field House Museum at 314-421-4689. General admission tickets are $10 and members are free.
