The Field House Museum is pleased to welcome author and historian Dr. John Wright Sr.! Dr. Wright will discuss his book, Carondelet, and explore the storied past of one of St. Louis’ oldest neighborhoods. With a history of diversity, Carondelet was the home of a large population of African Americans and Irish, German, and Italian immigrants whose stories the Carondelet community continues to preserve. Join us at the Field House Museum, Sunday, October 25th, 2026 at 1:00 pm as we dive in to the history of St. Louis with one of its most passionate storytellers!

About the Author:
John A. Wright Sr. is a Fulbright Scholar, educator, and historian. He has written books ranging from the study of some of St. Louis’ most storied neighborhoods, to detailed collections of African American history.
